Is it Cushie on my Tushie?

So in light of my recent Las Vegas trip, I have come to one very strong conclusion. If you want to know if a casino or hotel is worthy of your stay you need to check the toilet paper. While every where you go there are public rest rooms available. However some are cleaner than others and most use cheap toilet paper...
Toilet Paper Pyramid by Pygo.
You know the kind... The cheap stuff that scratches your ass as you wipe. I really hate this toilet paper and it can be found at most casino and hotels. This is also the toilet paper found at most schools and public facility type places.

The next level is a medium toilet paper, it isn't the most favored, but it doesn't scratch my ass either. The casino's that I found this at were Treasure Island, Mirage, Four Queens and a couple of other "MID grade casinos".

My favorite is of course the toilet paper that sinks in and does the job it was intended for. It is a beautiful thing to find a nice toilet paper... So if you are wondering can be found at Wynn, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and downtown at Freemont.

Baseball

While I love sports I never thought I would like baseball. It's one of those sports I couldn't even stand to watch. Of course, I had never watched an entire game and most of the time I would try very hard to avoid it.

Whenever my husband put it on TV I would leave the room. Now I have always loved other sports and sporting events. I have watched more football in my life than any girl should probably admit to. I am faithful to the Packers even when they are losing or doing stupid things I don't like. I love NASCAR and have a list of favorite and not so favorite drivers to watch, scream at and admire. I like watching the X-games, ice skating, cheerleading, gymnastics, etc...

But I had never found my love for baseball. Well that all changed when I was persuaded into going to a Brewers game a couple seasons back. Jason had been pestering me for awhile to go and when my work offered super cheap tickets and a bus ride I decided it was time to go. The bus ended up being over crowded so we drove down seperately and ended up having a great time.

There is just something about being in the live stadium that you can't get anywhere else. We have since been to several Brewers games and have enjoyed them all. We have only found 1 set of tickets I wouldn't purchase again. (Behind the visiting teams bull pen, as you can't see 1/2 the field or the big scoreboard.) The stadium snaps with energy and the nachos and dots ice cream are to die for.

So we are going to go again in September at least once, probably a couple of times. So why am I writing about what appears to be non sense? Well the Brewers made some good choices today to finally try to end their horrible losing streak and while I don't especially love to watch baseball on TV at least now I can tolerate it.

So Happy Brewers day and may they win tonight.

The Beauty of Sleep

Now don't get me wrong I love to sleep. However, I wonder why I don't like to sleep at night. I am one of those types of people who would rather stay up all night, and then get to sleep late into the day. However, once I've decided to go to sleep I rarely have a hard time falling asleep. So here's a poem about sleep...

Oh how I love to sleep
From me you will not hear a peep
Give me a minute to lay
It can be night or day

For I wish I could get more
But then life might be a bore
Oh a moment to sit and dream
Sleeping makes me beam!

My Daughter the Princess

While I love my daughter with all of my soul. I can't image why she wants to be a princess... Well I suppose something has to do with her being 4 but beyond that I just don't get it. Princesses I believe may just be the root of all evil. After all they like things that are super fuzzy, glitter everything, and most horribly everything needs to be pink or purple. YUCK! If you are a true princess you don't like to get dirty, EVER! Which means that if you are a child you can't play in the mud, the sandbox, or anything outside, but you beg to go outside because that's what kids do. When we can get my daughter to play quietly outside on her bike or something you will very soon hear the shrieking that is her discovering that bugs are everywhere outside. While this is mostly ants apparently princesses don't like ants. Plus in my dealings with people the "Princesses" tend to be whinny, self centered and full of themselves. So I suppose this does describe most 4 yr old girls.

However on the flip side, I suppose you are expected to act like a brat if you don't get your way. You do expect to get your way whenever you ask, and as I have been told on several occasions that "I know everything", and "I said you need to listen to me." Plus I have discovered over the last several months that you can not be a princess unless you wear a dress on a daily basis and since I never wear dresses I can't possibly ever be a princess. While, I suppose she does get her way most of the time. I'm not exactly sure if this is part of her princess syndrome or her I'm an only child of parents who spoil me syndrome. Nor am I sure they are different.

While I don't actually hate the Disney Princesses or any other princesses for that matter, I actually think most of them are pretty harmless and her favorite is Sleeping Beauty so it's not all bad, I just hope she grows out of this Princess attitude someday.

This is of course, probably wishful thinking.
